Did my first attempt to make an up- & downloadpart on our site. I'll send the participants loginnames and passwords for the loginpage and the ftp-server. Maybe we don't need it so much in the beginning, but better save than sorry... And I had a nice practice!  (not in the last place in swearing while trying...)
So now this is done, it's time te buy a Mac (I know... ME becoming a member of the
Pentecostal Church...) so I can really start editing... helping Rob.

Greetings my friends, Charley
feb 05 2007
We welcome old comrade Marcel de Boer, who will now and then assist with audio-corrections.
We'll borrow his ears once in a while!
There's a first audiomix-experiment with Truth and Reconciliation (and the subsequent Barry). Promising but not finished by far!
feb 15 2007
There are 2 edits on their way... you can find the first experiments on the timeline under the numbers 01 (takes a little while to open) and 05. Have a look! Philip wants to do his flutesolo once again, so lots of things will change. Also there will come more shots of Philips neighbourhood during his solo... But it's mainly to share the idea's!

Rob is quite busy with a montage of Melle's "Limousinesong"... Stay alert!
jan 10, 2007
Added some material AND an english version... Now we're talking! Hope you don't mind my english and find it readable!
I'll send the participants an email to let them know if serious stuff has been added.
Well, don't be a stranger! We'll keep in touch.
And for the guests: Hope you enjoy watching the progress of our project!

march 14, 2007
A lot happened last week. A new Edit 01 to 05, new Edits from Susanne Edit 07 & 09, Edit 15. Also a new remix from a composition from Simon by Johan: Works In C-minor which you can find in the brandnew menu-option Xtra!
Soon we'll place a test-edit from Rob on Melle's "Limousinesong".
And... as we don't involve in music alone anymore, "Cheeseheadmusic" has spread its wings and the firebird is from now on called "Cheeseheadmedia"!
march 17, 2007
We got him! Rob made quite a start with "Limousinesong"... Never content, as always, but we're getting there! Have a look at Edit 10 - 11.
Music opens in pop-up now... Video has its own page.
"Cheeseheadmedia" is on-line. I kept her quite plain, as the experience with Another Thought will help to develop her...
Also checkout the previous news-post for the latest developments!
march 21, 2007
We are pleased to announce that from today we have a very enthousiastic Joke van Katwijk among us. She's praised for her photography, and is working with video now. This afternoon I saw some amazing work from her. She will work on Simons "Works in Cminor", in an edit of Johan. Perhaps she'll drag along a great guitarist... exiting...
march 24, 2007
In no time I received a mail from Joke that she wanted more music for new idea's... we have a very productive participant among us! Mixed with the idea to make a "portrait" of a musician, she approached Jazzguitarist Vincent Koning. A piece of Simon was send without remix. Faaaraaah crosses Fusion, "Electronics" and Jazzpiano. And now guitar will be added, and perhaps a remix...

Soon we'll have Joke's first video (on Worx in Cminor) on the site... keep you informed.
april 2, 2007
Last week Joke finished her video on "Worx in Cminor". She called it "Home is where the Heart is". She used the music twice... Better for us! Now we're pleasently forced to work on the music again, this stimulates interaction!
Furthermore we're busy with the edit of  "Faaaraaah". I assume the mix will be hyjacked by Johan somewhere... Samples from it will be used to cross to a live performance from Vincent Koning. We'll see... Joke... challenge!
april 14, 2007
Faaaraaah
is nearing completion... With great videomaterial from Nils Meischke Joke made an intriguing spectacle. Johan is working on a rhythm-variation on which Vincent will compose his "escapade". Probably the piece will be performed live in Cafe "De Kluis" in The Hague. More info will follow.
Yesterday Rob and Charley filmed Frans in his "Datastudio". Not your regular "day at the office". In a stylish but warm and creative environment we see the bassplayer recording his track on As The Crow Flies. First edit will follow soon.
In Xtra you'll find Johans last remix of Simons Yellow Stones.

The company "Haagwonen" that owns the "tower of Oud" is very willing to cooperate, and to let us use the location on the picture. It's situated next to the World Forum Convention Center in The Hague, where -till two years ago- the North Sea Jazz festival took place.
Next week we'll discuss the possibilities...
A nice picture... session at sunset, looking over city and coast, relaxed people, helicoptershots... first lets find out if the elevator is working...
april 28, 2007
The tower is a unique place, with its triangular apartments. The view is magnificent! We're researching if it's possible to make airialshots with a modelballoon or something... Affraid it will be hard to get the licences, with the yougoslavia tribunal around the corner...  We'll see (I'll pull some strings.. haha).

For the interior of the "Tower of Oud" we wanted 15 inflatable chairs... when you DON'T need them you trip over them... But after a long search on the net I found Mid Ocean Brands. A wholesaler that appreceates our effort so much that they donated the chairs. Many thanks to Carlie van Teeckelenburgh!
may 10 2007
Today our cheerful postman came to bring a package...
Ouch... little misunderstanding with the suplier... my mistake...
We consider to to have a kobolt lounge party...

Our search continues!
may 15 2007
We're making Time Lapse The Hague Great stuff!
We welcome some new sponsors! Their own page: Thanks to...
"DeLange Products" supplied very nice super8 material from "family Schwartz at the beach". For "Yellow Stones".
Thanks to the "Aveq Group" we now have, next to inflatablekoboltchairs, also inflatableadultchairs...
Time lapse with PC.

We're trying to find a dat to come together in the Tower of Oud and perform a Jamsession.
As it's very hard to find one that matches into our busy lifes, we hope we can use the tower one month extra...

Line up: Clint Marana: Cajon with brushes (!), Johan Mulder: Samples / DJ, Vincent Koning: Guitar, Vincent Mens: Keys
And to keep things really North Sea Jazzy: Bass: t.b.a.

The testsite is online!
We made some videorecordings of Melle: At the exhibtion on the occasion of the opening of the Crossing Border Festival in The Hague. We also recorded at his home/workshop. At both places he sang Limousinesong.  Simon also performed a great pianosolo in 'the toolshed' in Hassocks, England, and for the openingsong Philip played (and we recorded) Oboe-melodie and Flute-solo. Sounds Great! Nothing of this on-line yet, patience patience... First I had to find out how to make this website (I mean with this program, sitespinner), I have to buy an Apple for (pre) editing, and Rob (main editor for the project) is very busy at the moment. Check the timeline for material.
jan 9, 2007
Did some more 'things' on the site... need some sort of discussionthing, but I assume that among us we better communicate via our personal email. Also the exchange of large files needs some attention, but I'll manage... in time....
I think Rob and I will exchange the huge videofiles via external HD, but especially for audio, exchange via FTP will be a great solution. Have to sort some things out though...

Greetzzzzzzzzzzchar.
may 19 2007
Great to discover so many people like what we're doing!
For one scene we want to use filmmaterial from the beach, from a distant past...
Videofilmer.nl places an anouncement.
Vidvd.nl places an anouncement.
The Haarlemse Smalfilmliga places an announcement in their clubmagazine
Trigger approaches a customer, Mister Milligen, who is willing to share great material with us.
jan 12, 2007
Well... it's online... Now I'm thinking of a "real" timeline, like we know from all sequence-programs like Cubase, Final Cut Pro, Pro Tools... It will be for our exchange. It would be great if the "initiator" could build a sequence of "lanes" with subjects in it that are accessible to place and download data. Also our personal files should be approachable from this side. But that's database I don't know cheese about. Just thinking ;~)
feb 23 2007
Some changes again in the first edit. Look on page 1 of the timeline, under 01.
I have to find something to get them movies to start faster, as it takes a 100 years to open... well, I'm exaggerating a tiny bit...
Still not satisfied by far, but we're on our way! It's pure videolounge!
may 25 2007
From now on we have a Shortcut to all media on our frontpage. Handy idea from Johan!
juli 6 2007
We're rolling again! Juli 21 there will be DVD-recordings of the Robert Rook trio. An initiative of bassplayer Thomas Andersen. We'll be there for our own recordings, and in the meantime we'll take care of the audio-recording for both projects.
Also we can use the videomaterial shot for the DVD on behalf of AT.
We're there for "Nothing Rhymes On A Waterbike". Intro and continuation will be made by Johan...
sept 5 2007
In the meantime there is a new edit! (Click on:) scene in the Tower of Oud!
Also we have some new participants who will cooperate in 2 new scenes... Willem Hendriks, Ron Lezer and Maxim Baghuis will alter a piece of Simon and play it with Clint Marana.
Eva van Leeuwen and Mo Breukers will integrate a part of their own project into AT with a unique interpertation of  "Lonely House" (Kurt Weill).
Last but not least we welcome Thijs Kramer... cameraman (Tower of Oud).
juli 22 2007
I think we can call the recordings in the Tower of Oud a great succes! People that love to make music... people that love to listen... 1 & 1 = 3!
The edit will be quite a puzzle, but we've been there before... we'll manage...
Listen here to a first (fairly unprocessed) mix and watch the slideshow.
Yesterday we recorded again at this location with Johan (jazzdrum samples), Pim (sax), and Susanne (dance). The interaction exceeded all expectations! It became an exciting and moving scene... Video will be placed a.s.a.p.!
juli 12 2007
There are also less pretty things to announce...
As is seems impossible to film own material in the BIMhuis during the DVD recording of the Robert Rook Trio we're forced to postpone the cooperation for Another Thought.
Perhaps later on some other recordings with Robert!
june 29 2007
The evening of the 14th of juli we'll shoot the scene in the tower! Final Line-up:
Clint Marana: Cajon with brushes (!), Vincent Mens: Keys, Frans Bouwmeester: Bass,
Pim van der Hust: Sax. Loungeparty by sunset!

Also we received beautiful old (super-8) beach material from  Maria Mercx from Hilversum.
The scene we'll use it for: Today, a beachparty, Johan & Simon's Dancemusic, Sax & guitar solo's live, "beautiful people"... Inbetween we see a past, it seems more genuine than the present.
